Status update and more work with CHDK

Here is a sample video shot today. the image quality is getting better. 25 miles per test ride is helping me keep in shape. For every blog post I probably have about 5-10 rides in between testing different camera settings and mounting options.  There are not enough frames per second.  This video has about 1700 frames stretched over 90 seconds.  Tech details after the jump.


  • shot with sd850 is 
  • chdk running intervolometer 3 script
  • 5 bursts, endless mode
  • 1600 iso (to reduce blurry shots)
  • continuous shot mode (to save power)
  • no iaf (to save power)
  • no focus assist beam (to save power)
  • flash manually disabled  (to save power)
  • set to medium resolution of 1600x1200 (to lower processing time and save space)
  • shot on 16GB sd card using 2 partitions
  • display dimmed to lowest setting (to save power)
  • mounted using new gurillapod rig
